Travel and Tourism is a BTEC nationally recognised Diploma. You will learn by completing assignments and projects that are based on real life situations within the travel and tourism industry. You should have an interest in the world and in travelling be willing to communicate with others. Throughout the course you will gain a range of skills and techniques essential for successful performance in working life.
In the Subsidiary Diploma you will gain a thorough grounding in the Travel Industry. Topics will include investigating the travel and tourism industry and looking at the major UK destinations for tourists. Customer service and gaining employment in the tourism industry are delivered through real life situations that prepare you for direct employment. If there is sufficient interest there may be the opportunity to travel abroad. The Subsidiary Diploma is worth the equivalent of one A Level.
There is the opportunity to study for the Diploma equivalent to - two A Levels. Extended Diploma - three A Levels.
