To apply to Sixth Form you will need to complete an application form and submit it to the school.

Once you have completed the application, you may submit it to the school by post , by hand, or by email to Mr This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

We would prefer to have your application by Monday December 14th 2015 , however all applications received after this date will be given full consideration as we run an open 6th form application round.   Early applications help us plan our timetable for the next academic year.

What happens next?

Every applicant will be offered an interview;

  • Blessed Hugh Faringdon Catholic School pupils will be interviewed by a member of the Senior Leadership Team at the school.
  • Non Blessed Hugh Faringdon applicants will be invited to interview with the Head of Sixth Form at the school at a mutually convenient time to be arranged once your completed application form has been received.

We understand that you may feel a little nervous about your interview. However the interview is a chance for us to find out more about you and why you would like to attend Blessed Hugh Faringdon Sixth Form. It is also a chance for you to ask questions and find out more about the Sixth Form. It is useful before the interview for you to make sure you have read the Course Guides and understand the entry requirements for the courses you are choosing. Also re-read your application form if you have kept a copy, as this will also be discussed at your interview. Make a note of any questions you would like to ask as it is easy to forget on the day!

Decisions

You will receive a letter soon after you have been interviewed stating whether or not we are able to offer you a place at the Sixth Form. Priority is given to Blessed Hugh Faringdon applicants but all applications are given full consideration.  All offers are conditional on you meeting the entry requirements for the courses you have applied for, check the Course Guide (Prospectus) for specific entry requirements.

Induction Days

The Induction days will take place in either June or July 2016.  All students who have been offered a place are required to attend these important days.
You will be able to sample the courses you have chosen, meet your new tutors and fellow students and start to experience Sixth Form. Please try not to miss these days.
Finally, if at any point you decide you wish to withdraw your application, please inform us as soon as possible, we may be able to offer the place to someone else on our waiting list.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the Head of Sixth Form Mr A Caldwell through the contact form on the website or by calling 0118 957 4730.
